FOLKSY SWEDISH CHRISTMAS CRAFTS

These folksy Christmas Crafts were inspired by the folk painting of Sweden and Finland which share similar Christmas traditions rooted in ancient lore

I reinterpreted the painted decorations of old folk objects and Swedish toy horses for these Christmas crafts.
In my illustrations, I extended the traditional paint styles to animal figures and a tree not usually associated with this folk style – an elk, a reindeer, the Scandinavian Christmas straw goat plus my own version of a toy horse.

Stationery items you can print and send, with lots of little extras like borders, labels and tags to decorate other cards, envelopes or small gifts.

3D LAYER CARD
A dimensional 3D card to build up in layers. The flying reindeer is finally attached to the folded card and jumps over the folk tree. For stability, I suggest starting with a sturdy cardstock backing and then layer the elements. Use a large envelope that takes an A4/letter sheet so the reindeer doesn't get folded!

1) You will receive the digital craft set as downloads in zipped files
2) The printable graphics are in PDF format, or PNG format for the digital or hybrid scrapbooking
3) The pages are in letter format with graphics positioned to also print on A4
4) You need a color printer to print the pages. Set printer quality to "best"
5) Suggested paper:
Matte photo paper like Canon 170gm which is especially for Arts and Crafts and plain paper for the paper projects. I also like Stora Enso cardstock which is the same bright white on both sides for double-sided printing.
