These folksy Christmas Crafts were inspired by my love of Swedish folk-art. I studied old Swedish toy horses and reinterpreted their painted decorations

For these Christmas crafts, I extended the traditional painting to animal figures and a tree not usually associated with this folk style – an elk, a reindeer, a Scandinavian Christmas straw goat plus my own version of a toy horse.

2. FOLKSY SWEDISH PRINTABLE 3D LAYER CARD
A dimensional 3D card to build up in layers. The flying reindeer is finally attached to the folded card and jumps over the folk tree. For stability, I suggest starting with a sturdy cardstock backing and then layer the elements. Use a large envelope that takes an A4/letter sheet so the reindeer doesn't get folded!

3. FOLKSY SWEDISH GIFT BOX and STOCKINGS

4. FOLKSY SWEDISH CHOCOLATE SLAB WRAPPERS
Five chocolate wrappers in two sizes make quick and easy Christmas crafts. The smaller ones are ideal for stocking fillers, while the large ones are great last-minute or hostess gifts.
