This range of solstice crafts depicting folksy shamans, mushrooms and decorative reindeer, honours an ancient solstice shamanic custom.
CREATE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL
Many of these old beliefs have found their way into our modern customs, but we have forgotten their true origins. The shamans gathered those fairytale Amanita Muscaria mushrooms in early
winter and hung them on pine trees to dry. The mushrooms were then distributed to the tribe at the time of the winter solstice. Reindeer too, love these fly agaric mushrooms – so called because they induce an euphoric feeling of flying.

The illustrated cards with snippets of reindeer facts and lore also make for great conversation around the Christmas table or at parties.
